    Planning a build

Planning a build. Need some advice as to if my goals are realistic? I am looking for advice, comments constructive critisism ect... Building size 36x60 17' walls I am open to pole barns, or red steel depending on what I can get at the best price. First the concrete slab would be 36' x 36'...

    What is this?

Thanks Drift, and Unslow. I have no idea why I didn't think of that. Theres a miter saw sitting in the same storage unit. I just wanted it to be some kind of small possibly 6' brake.

    Lincweld 180.... Restore?

Well not that anyone seems interested but here it is. Sand blasted Bigger dents hammered out and bondoed left the small dings and gouges for character. Painted. Clear coated. Cleaned up the face plates best I could but didn't want to refinish. I'm happy with the outcome.

    Lincweld 180.... Restore?

Needed a welder last fall for a project. Ran into this old lincweld 180 with 50'+ leads for a steal. Since im now done with it decided to "restore" it. Any ideas where I could get the knob on front? Stupid question maybe but is there a issue with welding one of the legs back on using the welder...

Would you rather have. a 30x48 pole barn or two 24x30 stick built garages.

The footing req here is around the entire slab which is a **** ton of concrete and labor.

Yes the cost of the footings forces a pole barn on anything over 720sf, was responding to the reccomendation to build a large stick built instead of a pole barn. As the pole barn requires no (concrete) footings.

If I go with a bigger stick built (over 720sf) I need 42" deep 10" wide footings that significantly inflate the cost. I also have a max building height of 17' so the 14 foot walls I don't believe would be a option. I didn't consider the doubled tools I will need to make a list and do a little...

Would you rather have. a 30x48 pole barn or two 24x30 stick built garages.

I will be building in the spring. I was originally planing a 30x50 pole barn, but I have recently started considering 2 smaller structures 24x30s to be exact. I would like to use one for a auto shop, and the other for a work shop. If I build the pole barn I would put up a dividing wall and use...
