    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT Anyone out there with a small 2 car garage?

Mine is 18x18 but with an 8 foot door, so I can't relate to trying to get two regular size cars in there. Although I did have a Sprite and a Spitfire in there for a short time. Here is a thread with what I did with my space...

    Slab Question

Hi everyone, Long time lurker and occasional poster here. I've been pondering a lift again and the MaxJax is on the short list. My question is I've got a slab with no relief cuts and no cracks, Its got a 12" thickened edge and its at least 4-3/4" thick at the test hole I drilled near the...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 18x18 -ish

Re: The 18x18 -ish - Lift Advice?? Made some more progress yesterday. Moved most of the stuff I had stored in the basement back into the garage. I have also been thinking about a lift. I don't have much ceiling height, it goes from about 7'9" at the front to about 6'9" at the back...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 18x18 -ish

Picked up something new for the garage today and made a discovery. The something new is the toolbox below. The discovery is that the battery tender I have on the car interferes with the powerline internet adapter I'm using for WiFi in the garage. Battery tender plugged in its like dial up...

    Keeping Vehicle Maintenance Logs

Silver sharpie on the air cleaner housing for routine work like oil and various filter changes. Silver sharpie on the radiator support or shroud for other work like timing chains/guides, water pump, fuel injectors and seals. All with dates and mileage. now all this is on 1977 Mercedes, so...

Yep, the cabinets are metal. White turned blue ones were the craigslist find. $80 for all of them. The oddball 70's olive green one was the curb find. Just up the block, saw it while i was walking the dog. Went back, grabbed the hand cart and rolled it home.

At this point I still need to move things back in to the garage from the basement and the garden shed. My goal is to make it into a usable space to work on the old Mercedes. Hopefully after the holidays i can get the tools back in and organized. find a decent compressor. and hang a TV in...

After all that came paint and cabinets. I found the cabinets on craigslist and the curb.

Hello everyone, I've been lurking here for awhile and picking up some great ideas from everyone so I figured it was time I gave back a bit. And hopefully be prodded into doing some more work on the space. Awhile back I posted about spacing and layout for a new garage, well, the prices i...

    Spacing question

Good question. The accessory building code here requires a 3 foot setback from the property lines and 10 feet from the dwelling. It also states height to be 1 story OR 14 feet whichever is less. I'm not quite sure how to read that. Is that overall height of 14 feet? Wall height of 14...
