Get two AMS if you can afford it. One four bay and one high temp to print ABS and support materials which need to be dried. You can also swap the HT one out to a different color filament so you can do two color prints using both nozzles which dramatically speeds up print time and reduces...
One other thing to add is that if you are interested in reproducing items like knobs resin printing is the way to go because the resolution and finish is much better. They are limited in size to pretty small parts. Maybe 6x6 max? They are actually relatively inexpensive. You can buy a...
I got into it a year ago. I bought the Bambu H2D. There is a very, very small learning curve if all you are doing is simple stuff. I can’t recommend the Bambu stuff highly enough. First, it is an ecosystem like Apple - everything is plug and play and printing is as easy as using an iPhone...
I have a bunch and I think they are great. Super high quality in my view so worth the $$. I don't think you are going to mar any fasteners that aren't stuck and if they are stuck you are replacing it anyway (or all of them per your practice). The only thing I have noted is that sometimes a...
So i retired a couple of years back and had a 90 day notice period where I didn't need to go into the office. I was going to be moving to Upstate NY from the NYC area at the end of those 90 days so I wanted to take advantage of that time and find a legit welding school. I did 40 hours of MIG...
Cancel makes one for like $30. You connect it to your battery and then download the logged data onto their app via Bluetooth. Don’t know if you can export the data though. Another alternative would be a Pokit multimeter. They are pretty cheap and data log
Lucky enough to have two garages…. One for cars and wood (have a good dust collection system set up) and one for metal. It never ceases to amaze me how much fine grit and debris get thrown around the shop from grinding and using a cold saw. Maybe look at Uline or Grainger and see if you can
Checked the motor and it is the right dual speed 1725/1100 motor.... Just need to fiddle with it. I have the manual and it has a procedure to calibrate the Reeves drive.
No - problem isn't in the Arduino SW. It is something in the adjustment of the pulleys for the variable speed drive. My assumption is the two pulleys aren't closing down enough on the front drive, which would create a bigger pulley on the front, slowing down the spindle.
Got one and love it. I have a few of the GearWrench digital torque wrenches - 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2. Some of them (can't remember which ones) also do angle readout which is great.
So I built a digital readout for my Rockwell Delta 17-600 variable speed drill press that shows the spindle RPMs and thought I would share it with the Forum.
The idea for this came from when I was investigating converting a wood bandsaw to metal use (abandoned in favor of searching for a real...
