    Shed zip board siding

Im selling my house and want to want to side the shed, but vinyl siding is very expensive. I know T1-11 and smartside paneling is designed to be secured directly to the studs, but could I use this on top of the zip board instead? Not sure if it would interfere with the windows, or if all...

    Spray foam insulation - garage

Thanks for the reply. To be clear, I will not be drywalling or putting in any sort of ceiling. Not sure if this changes the calculus though

    Spray foam insulation - garage

I've searched through some threads but still not sure about my garage situation. I have a one-car attached garage with no insulation currently. Looking to get spray foam on the exterior walls and roof. Probably will go with closed cell on the walls and open for the roof (see below from the...

    Shed floor out of square

Getting ready to frame the roof tomorrow. While putting the 2nd top plate on today I noticed 2 of the corners don't line up at the top. They do line up at the bottom - see below pics. I plumbed the walls before nailing together (or so I thought). Any suggestions on how to proceed? I could try to...

    Shed floor out of square

The pictures are hard to see on this website, they should be vertical not horizontal. Anyways the studs are parallel.

    Shed floor out of square

All of the walls are up and plumbed - two of them (in opposite corners) have a gap between the walls and two of them (the other opposite corners) don't have any gap. I could substantially close the two gaps by bringing in the wall corners, but then it would be out of plumb. Since the walls are...

    Shed floor out of square

Thanks for the help - I had looked at their website but wasn't sure if they meant OK for both sides to be wet, but I realize houses are sheathed and not covered immediately with this stuff all the time, and they are fine. The other 3 walls are going up without sheathing (front wall went up...

Qualcraft wall jack - getting wall off floor

Thanks for the follow up and for the concern. I do take this seriously and stay out of the way as much as possible. The back wall is up and braced, put up the front wall today (no sheathing yet), just plugging away at this.

    Shed floor out of square

Thanks for the help. I was referring to the OSB side, not the green side, assuming same thought still applies? Also, how can I sheathe the side walls before raising - since the sheathing will extend past the wall studs on both sides by 3.5" to meet the sheathing on the end walls, it would be...

Qualcraft wall jack - getting wall off floor

Oops, too late for that anyways. I dragged the wall back up onto the deck, lifted it with the wall jacks and tipped it over the opposite way (this time on purpose) and then dragged it back onto the deck, so I'm back to square one. Wall is still in one piece so I guess that's good. Gonna be...

Qualcraft wall jack - getting wall off floor

Thanks, yes I had nailed two shorter pieces of 2 x 4 to the rim joist to prevent this from happening, but I didn't nail in all the way so that it would be easier to take out, and only one nail, so that's on me, not sure it would have held anyway. I don't think I can get any manpower right now...

Qualcraft wall jack - getting wall off floor

Well the wall jacks worked great to get the first wall up. Except for the fact that the wall went straight over the side and is now sitting upside down on the ground. I'm by myself here. No idea how I'm going to get this fixed. Any ideas are much appreciated. Thanks
