$150 for those is a pretty good deal, congrats! And thank you, it was a lot of work but turned out real nice and still looks great.
You're doing a great job restoring yours and I'm excited to see the end product!
That's a nice set you got there! Where in Canada are you located? I've always wanted a large Beach roller like that. Probably will buy one, one day.
What did you pay, if you don't mind me asking?
I **think** Leatherman fixed this issue with the new-ish model by changing the handle design slightly.
That said, I used to be a Victorinox swiss army man through and through, but after I came to university and didn't have any tools, the Leatherman really shined. I keep it in my bag at all...
Meh, that crinkle finish black will just be harder to clean. Same with the handles. I can never get my Cobra's looking as good as my PliersWrenches. IMO the Cobra's and now these new PliersWrenches look cheaper
Ofcourse, I could just be saying this to make myself feel better about having the...
Sounds like my dad and I! We've ran an old ~1959 40hp Viking (made by OMC, for Eatons I believe?) for some 25 years. We replaced just about every hose on that engine, as well as the diaphragm and impellers, until we finally upgraded to a brand spankin new 1972 Mercury 700 70hp. Got it in 2010 in...
I don't see a difference between these and the ones that have been around for a while??
Either way, you won't be disappointed. Great pliers, I carry them instead of an adjustable wrench when out in the woods. The 7" (180mm) ones will take off a 27mm axle nut off my KTM.
EDIT:
Looks like they...
The Harbor Freight 1.5t alu one is pretty good. It's light and compact. Lifts the whole front end of my Audi easily. Not bad for a cheap jack.
My only complaint is that it has the single roller in the front, as opposed to 2 wheels on either side. One of these days I'll turn up some "stabilizer"...
Back when I had a Jeep, I needed pliers to zip my windows back in, so I'd carry Channellock 317s, and my leatherman wave. Unfortunately, once I was in a rush and left the leatherman on the roof of the Jeep and drove away...
I lost a 16mm Husky USA 3/8" drive socket when I was taking the...
Picked up an old Beach B26 the other day for $40. Not the best condition, but good for the price imo. Looks to be rebranded by Mastercraft. Couldn't find a stamp in the back to get the year, but judging by the shape of the crest, I'd say 80s. This is my first Beach top chest, I've been wanting...
I would say 4.5" is most versatile. It can be used for damn near anything. Granted, its not always the best tool for the job, but if I only had one, it would definitely be the 4.5"
My pliers drawer:
Not bad for 17 year old eh
It started with the 7 inch pliers wrench that use in my dirtbike tool bag. Then I saw they were at Lowes, and I had to get them. Then I got the 12 inch pliers wrench for cheaper then the 7 inch.
