Passed the Engine Repair, Brakes, and Suspension tests within the last 6 months and used the Delmar books. I did well on all three and am currently studying the Delmar Auto Trans and Engine Performance books for my tests at the end of the month.
I picked up the 4 drawer black cart with the $99 dollar coupon about a month and a half ago. The cart is great for the money and ive had no problems with it as well as the other three guys at my shop who have it as well.
I'm taking the A4 Brakes and A5 Suspension and Steering Ase tests in about 3 weeks and was wondering if any of you guys that took them had any recommendations for review books for them or any other tips.
We have to lock our box to the wall at school so i figured id go all out to protect it lol.
First i put a heavy chain on the handle.
Then i was worried someone could just undo the allen head bolts on the handle so i ran 3/8 galvanised cable through the holes in the wheels that way its immobile...
Yeah thats my dads double not sure if there from the same era though.
Also im picking up a 3/8 torque wrench, 24 inch pry bar and brake tools. Im also thinking of picking up a set of the metric and standard swivel ratcheting wrenches since i have the student discount anyway. Those really came in...
The whole set was used just half the stuff was still in its original package but the pipe wrenches i took from my dad haha just thought they would come in handy at school.
Yeah i found someone who dropped out of an automotive college program that had the same required tools list as me. So it wouldve cost me about 3500 new with my student discount so i bought these. And most of the tools were still in their original package so it diddnt matter to me either way.
