    Are 12 pt sockets more desirable than 6 points?

    Personally 6pt. That actually is the only sockets you will find in my box. It is to easy to grab a12pt and say oh that fits good enough and them BAM rounded bolt. I had enough of that by the time I was 15 or so. But strange thing is that all the shops here use 12pt. Not sure why

    Its for a Honda gx160 waterpump I worked over. If it holds up with moving liquid fertilizer that weighs 12lbs a gallon I'm going to make one with a 3in pump for moving water. This is a 2in pump on it now. Aftermarket billet rod came with 12pt bolts and requires 170in ftlbs of torque.

    Hey guys I was looking for a craftsman socket set that is 1/4drive with 12 point deep and shallow metric sockets. My local store doesn't have them and I am having trouble finding them. They need to be 12pt for a connecting rod that I am replacing.
