If you are putting a 100amp panel in there.... Might as well run 2-2-2-4 MHF in conduit if you have to dig the yard anyway.... 90Amp breaker on in the main panel

As Wylie says.... feeding it with 90amp should be enough for MOST of your average home owner / tinkerer type people....
