If you are putting a 100amp panel in there.... Might as well run 2-2-2-4 MHF in conduit if you have to dig the yard anyway.... 90Amp breaker on in the main panel

Question. Can I use a larger NON-FUSED Disconnect then I need? Meaning can I put a 60amp Disconnect even If i'm only using a 20amp breaker at the Panel? for reference, I'm looking to put a 9000 BTU / 220v Mini-split and I'm looking to pre-wire a disconnect Like this...

I did same run...... 2" pipe, 2-2-2-4 mhf. Multiple 45's and 2 90's.... Pull was not hard at all.... just have someone feeding it in straight...

The Larger building WILL eventually get HVAC, but Priority is getting my office out of the house and into garage.... I saw some LG's for a couple hundred more..... Might consider that...

I am building a 12x14x8 office in my garage.... I plan to insulate all 4 walls (metal building is already insulated to R-9 I will add R19 to the walls / ceiling of the office since the smallest split system i can find is 9000btu..... will that be overkill to a point of a problem.... Coastal...

As Wylie says.... feeding it with 90amp should be enough for MOST of your average home owner / tinkerer type people.... EDIT: Scratch this as you have a main lug in an attached garage. "You can obviously have whatever size main breaker in the panel in the garage " I struggled with this...
