    Roll for big wrenches?

I like the look of that I like the look of that - who travels with a 3” combo wrench?! - but by the time it lands here, it’ll be C$130. 😒 Oh, Canada… Sounds like I’ll be hitting the sewing machine!

    Roll for big wrenches?

I’ve been spending a lot of time in plumbing mechanical rooms lately and have found myself needing sizes I never thought I would have in previous lives… Like 1” to 1-1/2” wrenches. I currently have them in a pile in a job box, and hate it. I ordered a Bull Tools “16 pocket wrench roll” on Amazon...

Dewalt 20v 1/2” impact (tool only)

I could go to Amazon or whatever for this easy enough, just thought I’d find out if anyone has one they’re looking to part with... Looking for a 1/2” 20v Dewalt impact, either the “high torque” (400 ft lb?) or the smaller one (150 ft lb?). I’d also consider 3/8” drive. Must be in or happily...

    Milwaukee grips gripes?

Glad to hear I'm not alone, I guess. This wasn't something I had ever given much thought to, wasn't even something I looked into before buying the Milwaukee set. Which I figured would be an upgrade over my white-and-black Makitas. Immediately after getting the Milwaukee stuff, I figured it was...

    Milwaukee grips gripes?

I have a Milwaukee drill/impact set that I use daily. The rubber handle has sloughed off the impact driver, I assume because I use it so often with hands covered in mineral oils (mostly synthetic suspension oil). Has anyone else had this happen? I called Milwaukee and they said they had never...

    Another noteworthy JC Cayer experience...

This is the part that blows my mind, too. They seem to have no interest in making money via commerce. Do a quick search of the GJ boards...and believe what you read!

    Another noteworthy JC Cayer experience...

Yeah. I hate to generalize...but it's faster that way. The west is best and whatnot.

    Another noteworthy JC Cayer experience...

About a month ago I ordered some 18v Milwaukee stuff, and a handful of Irwin bits from JC Cayer. I'm not sure whether I plain ignored GJ's warnings, or failed to take them seriously enough. I've had about a month of wrangling now - mostly due to the VERY FIRST missive from them being a curt...

the Nepros brand hand tool thread

You seem to say something along these lines about every Nepros tool you own... Why do you keep buying (insert tool brand here) if you're so consistently disappointed?! I have a hard time believing any of the things you tend to mention about pretty much all the tools you own would be noticeable...

Gray Tools Canada T85 3/8" ratchet

Still got it! C'mon, can't someone come up with an interesting trade?!

    Snap-On espresso tamper

Haha! A stubby would have been way more appropriate...and way less buttpluggish. I'd need a stubby that would take a 1/2" - 20 thread. I'll keep my eyes peeled! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Snap-On espresso tamper

Wife and I got a fancy coffee maker for our wedding. I decided we needed a fancy tamper to go with it. This resulted. If Snap-On wants to make serious hipster inroads, this is the place to start. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Suggest a mid level 1/4" socket set

Honestly? Get whatever socket set you want or can afford. But for the ratchet, get the one with the lowest drag. I'd recommend a Dual-80 or Koken, but I'm pretty impressed with my new Cornwell. Don't worry about tooth count much. Just know that with 1/4"-ratchet-sized fasteners you're not going...

Pure Rumor and speculation: Wera in to Bicycle tools now?

I have some old Park tools that are pretty decent, but most of it these days is ****. Which is a shame, as there are fewer and fewer alternatives. Pedro's also used to be superb (rebadged PB Swiss for ex wrenches?!), but has gone to **** in the last few years. Campy makes very good quality...
