Question for those of you who have built a pedestal from a truck brake drum, where did you get the drum?

Yes, I still have them. They haven't seen much use lately, I use them when I travel for machinery installations. They saw a fair amount of use for about 3 years and I had no issues. To address you strength question, everything I did was assembly, there was very little loosening. Hope this helps.

I've had some Satas for about 10 years. Sockets, wrenches, drivers and allen handles. It's all top notch.

I'm all for it. Metric is much easier to work with.

I'm faced with the same dilemma. I recently built a shed behind my garage and moved the compressor into it. On more than one occasion I have forgotten to shut the unit off. I think installing a relay into the circuit would be the best solution, but I have no idea what kind of relay is required...
