I am looking for either the name or better yet a source for the 3/8" square bar stock that comes in various lengths and has the spring loaded ball detents in either end. Anyone know what these are called so I can look them up and get some?
Thanks for the leads on the fittings, I'll try taking one off of the ends of the hose and bringing it down for them to match up. And yes, the compressor does have a license plate, but it is now unnecessary since NV does not require plates for "mobile equipment" trailers.
I guess what I was imagining/hoping was something along the lines of a dixon connector that had a standard size Q/D fitting on the other end to be able to temporarily hook up air tools to the end of the existing line but still be removable when I want hook up the abrasive blaster.
I was already able to source the fittings, I am just looking for an adapter/reducer to get them down to a more conventional hose output so I can use regular sized air tools with them. I just haven't had any luck finding anything that looked like it might work yet. Thanks for the tip about the...
So I got this huge 85 CFM Ingersoll Rand Gyro Flo air compressor to soda blast and paint with since it will have enough CFMs for both, plus some. It is powered by a flathead four cylinder Continental F140 engine. Is anyone here familiar with sand blaster hose connections? Specifically the larger...
Large diameter PVC or ABS pipe and some screw on endcaps like just about any contractor uses. Been storing an 8ft CRL straightedge in them for about 8 or 9 years now. Keeps the dust and moisture out and is somewhat shock resistant.
I have seriously been looking into cord reels and an air hose reel as my next garage aquisitions. Where are you guys finding these older beefier models. I would much rather pay for some good old fashioned quality vs. the cheesy stuff out there nowadays. Even metal reels aren't immune as my...
I've used the pass through ability about 2 times in 5 years of ownership. Both times I could have gotten by with an open ended wrench. A much longer extension would be a good thing to have if you wanted to be able to maximize their usefulness
HF 4 1/2" angle grinder- I have (ab)used/dropped/beat that thing for 5-6 years now and it's still going strong. Also a ratcheting T-handle screwdriver they used to carry there. Probably never used all my other screwdrivers combined as much as I have used this one. I think it's made by a company...
He's saying to put the part in the oven @150*, then paint it. If you're using hi-temp paint then heat the part to 300*
I regularly have to paint in "less than ideal" conditions. I have an unheated garage and my spray paint is usually extremely cold(garage not insulated either). Have a lamp with...
