    maxlite buyers beware

The exact same thing just happened to me. Ordered 16 fixtures but only received half of the tombstones needed. Customer service was great and promptly sent the replacements but it shouldn’t have happened.

So can you etch new concrete or do you wait 30 days and do it all at the same time?

Thanks. Trying to find all the right answers is proving to be a little difficult. Great forum though.

Do you have to wait 30 days before etching or can that be done earlier?

    Preparing New Slab

I’ve read that I should wait about a month before attempting to epoxy or stain new concrete. My question is, can I go ahead and acid etch sooner or do I need to wait a month to do that too! I’m asking because the slab is about 2 weeks old now and it would sure be easier to prepare it while the...

Thank you both for the great info. I like the 3 ton idea. It does get hot and gross for sure and I’m not scrimping on the cooling! I’ve waited too damn long to build my shop and I plan on enjoying it to the fullest. I’ll definitely report back in a couple of weeks when I’m finished. Thanks again!

I’m finishing my 1500sf building and I’m trying to figure out what to use for cooling. It’s fully insulated with 12 foot eave height and 16 feet high in the center. I’ll install a couple of ceiling fans to keep the air moving. Occasional use of the building and just need to knock down the...

    Help with lighting layout

Hi guys, Need opinions and help with my new build. It’s a steel garage/workshop 36 wide and 40 deep with 12 ft eave height. It will be insulated with the white backing roll in stuff on the walls and ceiling and it will all be exposed. The roof pitch is 2/12 so it will be around 15 ft high in...

Insulating a pole barn for a/c

Thanks. Great advice. Never thought of the idea of painting over the foam.

Insulating a pole barn for a/c

Thanks everyone. This topic is a little more complicated than I thought it would be. Pretty straight forward on a typical stick built garage. Metal seems to complicate things.
