Thanks kram, I gave them a call and Chad told me to treat it as any dirt or sediment since I should have already neutralized the acid. He suggested dish soap and deck brush first, then escalating to using muriatic acid to open up the pores more before deck brushing (or even power washer) if needed.

Care to share? Acid stain formulations are pretty similar across brands anyways.

Just moved in and finally have time to do a write up. A question though.. some stain residue got on my driveway. It's been almost a month now, what's the best way to clean it? Hosing off and scrubbing got rid of most but still some left... sprinkle on and scrub in tide? borax? vinegar solution...

I used Eagle branded acid stain. The concrete took a nice colour, but I didn't let it sit long enough so it's rather superficial. I've touched up with a water based stain, and will seal it with Nohr-S soon. I know Legacy Industrial carries a DeltaDye (water-based), which seems to work nicely...

I just acid stained my garage today... Stained, neutralized, then rinsed. Eagle (brand) instructs to rinse until the ground passes a white rag test (where a white rag no longer picks up residue) but it seems my hose is pulling off the stain in addition to residue. The stain was getting lighter...

That sounds promising. Would using an acid stain provide a better surface for Nohr-S (compared to water based, like your DeltaDye)? I'm also seeing that polyurea should last 20+ years if applied properly, versus maybe something like HD6525 would need reapplication every 2-3 years?
