Those aren't really that big and are only single stage so usually should be set to turn off at 115 or so. They are a quality compressor built to run forever so after you change the rubber diaphragms on the unloader you probably won't have to do anything but change the oil for the next 40 years.
I hate when people bring these up because then more people look for them... they are awesome, not quite channellock 548 level of legendary, but definitely in the running for top tools of all time.
I too have the small schumacher and have used it a lot. It works very well and I have never been confused about a battery's status. I'd still buy a big one if I stumbled across it cheap but it hasn't seemed necessary.
