Stupid racoons got into the garbage can in the back yard last night, first time using this light and man it put outs A LOT of light! Also nice to be able to put on the ground and angle the light at a specific angle, thanks again to the OP for the lead.
I ran a 2x4 running 90* to the trusses with an eye bolt, then just bolted the chain at the bottom. The back of the shelving is bolted to the wall studs. I've walked on the shelving and it didn't budge at all. Really didn't want any posts to hinder floor space and came up with this for a...
Yes they were spendy at $40 per fixture but the output in colder temps is very noticeable for me. Costco Seattle on 4th Ave South has a pallet full today.
Don't know if the pic shows but it is way brighter now as compared to my lower grade HD fixtures. OP, thanks for the heads up on these...
I tried searching but came up short - new to the lift crowd and just recently acquired a bendpak midrise lift. Did my first oil change on a buddies car and used my bench stool to hold the oil container, the portable ones I've seen are too tall for use on my lift. Would the more experienced...
Agreed I would feel safer with a few threads past the nut. Unfortunately the bolt is integral to the arm so I can't install a longer bolt. Can other MD6XP owners please check and verify your arm bolts? Thanks
How deep did you recess you lift? Do you notice the lost height for wheel/brake work?
Also, one of the bolts for the arms is barely showing once the nut was tightened. Should I be concerned and call the factory or just leave it be?
This shows how the other 3 bolts are secured:
Until I get the motivation to tackle recessing (and finishing the garage) this will have to do for now. Finished the ramps last night, 2x3x11 topped with 3/4" plywood and 6 stringers for extra support. This is going to make working on cars that much easier, and more fun!
Sorry to post about another scissor lift but I want to give props to Summit Racing for holding up their end of the deal on delivering a new MD-6XP lfit to my home for $1915 total. Con-Way just dropped the lift off and the delivery person not only helped put the lift into the garage - he helped...
What an incredible job you've done to your garage, jealous! I just recently started my collection of Griot's stuff and did my first detail. I'm a noob Porsche owner and one day hope to have a garage as nicely done up as yours.
