    Baldy343's Projects and Metal Work

My next project is/was a storage rack for T-posts, prefab fence panels, and whatever else my dad wants to keep off the ground. I started with 2 approximately 15-16ft sections of 4"x3" steel that was previously used as a shop awning support, and had several layers of paint on them. After doing...

    Baldy343's Projects and Metal Work

My first project was a transmission jack adaptor for my E4OD and Harbor Freight 800lb jack. The E4OD, especially on the 4WDs has a lumpy pan and does not sit right on a normal transmission jack. Norco sells one, but it is $300, and that didn't jive with me for the price and what the product is...

    Baldy343's Projects and Metal Work

This year, and going forward I am setting out to learn as much as possible about metal fabrication, primarily through welding, a plasma table, and metal braking. I think it will be a fun journey and will benefit me greatly on both my personal and professional paths, and find that it is a fun...

    New bit holder free sample

I finally got home, and got the samples in the mail. The bits are held securely, and won't fall out under pretty much any use, and allow for easy access to use. I am a big fan of the form factor as they are smaller than the Milwaukee cases that I normally use. I found the 20 bit holder to be a...

    Fuel trailer build!

This gets fun when you consider the potential weights involved. A 3/4 ton truck can support a full 120 gallon tank in tounge weight alone, assuming 7 lbs/gal diesel. Thus if you only have one tank, it literally doesn't matter. If you have multiple, it starts to get fun. If you have 3 120...

    Funnel storage? *SOLVED*

Space is a premium in my single car shop. I for the most part nest them in a milk crate. A lot of my funnels have been purchased as sets, and so they nest naturally. The oil funnels, I let drip dry on the front, kinda dangling off with a towel underneath, but usually, before I clean my garage...

    Durable Black Rattle Can Paint?

The best black shop paint I have found is Steel-It. You can get it in black, white, various shades of gray, and hi-vis. The paint is super durable, doesn't chip, and leaves a nice satin, slightly rough finish. You can even use it as a primer. They offer bulk discounts, and you can get it in...

Cat Dealers Service Tools Catalog 2024 PDF

I sent it over! Sorry for the late reply, I've been busy with school and haven't been as active.

Another Tekton Protype MTR4 Tool Roll

Here's a picture with a JBL Flip 5 for scale. The left side is about an inch or two longer than pictured, but I have this packed to the gills, so it doesn't lay perfectly flat, but that's to be expected. I'm excited to get to use my new knipex more often, as I lost them and had to replace them...

Show me your mix-matched toolbox and top chests

I have a Matco 4S Triple bay with a CAT topper. The Snap-On equivalent CAT box (it's one of the rebrands) is the Heritage 4 drawer KRA4114FPC. I quite like having the space for a computer and work top, as it lets me have a great middle stomach height work bench. The space is quite useful for...

Another Tekton Protype MTR4 Tool Roll

I was lucky enough to snag one of the green roll, and I have to say it is definitely worth the money. This is super true, I am using it as my grab bag for Ag, and cars, and it keeps tools from clinking all day like in a tool bag, and allows for me to carry a staggering amount of decently...

Vertical hanging my gas leaf blower

We have plywood on our walls and use one of these to hang the blower and weedeater. Just get one that's wide enough for the body of the blower but will still "grab" the legs.

    Lisle Mini Pry Bars

I prefer the Mayhew mini prybars. They're not smooth handles, and they come in a normal and heavy duty version. I've yet to bend one way out of whack as they will eventually deflect enough that your hand doesn't fit around it.
