    Garage (Hopefully!)

I'm hoping to soon be building a garage/shop area. I'm in the process of buying a home with about an acre of relatively flat/cleared land that should have plenty of room. Budget needs to be <$50k, needs to accommodate a lift (either now, or in the near future), and I'm thinking I'd like to at...

    Griot's Garage Products

I pretty much only use Griots for car cleaning stuff.. Used to use Meguiars and there is no comparison. Have used Mother's some. Griot's also has top-class customer service. same-day reply to e-mail and no hassle returns if you don't like something...

    Airstream air compressor

I've got a lead on a 10 gallon "Airstream" air compressor (local Craigslist) for $50... says he paid over $200 and lightly used... problem is I've never heard of Airstream (other than the cool aluminum trailers) and can't find anything on Google. Anyone else here know anything about them?

    aToolCrib

Hey, I was reading some good stuff about aToolCrib, I believe a member of this board? Anyway, I figured I'd browse around and see what I can find that may go on my shopping list... but almost anything I try to do I get the following error "1054 - Unknown column 'p.products_id' in 'on clause'...

    anybody else like quality flashlights?

I have two of the base model metal sure fires (6P?) and love them. Have the streamlight keychain light... amazing for what it is! Keep a 6D-cell Maglite in my jeep.. and yes it is waterproof! i've used it looking under a stream at night (don't know that I would take it diving, but it was...

    Craftsman vs Blue Point

Thanks for the replies. I'll just save up for an intro craftsman set maybe a snap on socket or 2 and 3/8 snap-on ratchet (hopefully ebay or classifieds here). As far as professionals not using Craftsman I work in an automotive test center (for Mack Trucks) and most of the technicians here...

    What every home machinist needs

I can't view that video at work, but based on the discussions here I can tell it is one I have seen. This technology has been aroud for a while as "rapid prototyping" I work in a vehicle test lab where we have this kind of stuff. Thing is back in the day the "3D printer" cost about $100k, and...

    Craftsman vs Blue Point

Thanks for all the replies! I think I'm going with a hybrid of the 2 as suggested. I don't have any deep sockets at the moment so I thought I may get 3 or 4 snap-on deeps just to see what all the fuss is about, and then just get Craftsman. If I find the snap-on is better, then maybe I'll do a...

    Craftsman vs Blue Point

Hey everyone, I'm new here, I've done some searching and general poking around but have a few questions that weren't easily answered. I'm basically a hobbyist, I enjoy working on cars and other projects. Just graduated college in December so just starting to get out "on my own", and build up...
