Use a 3/8 to 1/2 adapter and a 1/2 torque wrench.

I still use my compressor for "air" things like blow off, tires, nailer..however I haven't used it in months for impact, drilling, grinding, or sawing. I am cordless for that, the last thing I needed was a good impact and the Makita XWT08Z at 0.5 foot/tons takeoff has twice the power my air...

Been looking at the new 211, they look very nice and very portable, they switched from transformer to inverter so it is smaller and lighter. My favorite mig welder (even though I only own blue at the moment) is the red 256. Love the knobs and switches, spot timer, etc. Big unit though. :)

The new power probe IV will test fuel injectors and has a freq counter and other functions. Pretty cool, but price is up there.

I have both the old and the new one, never broke, used on some nasty bolts when my impact was out of commission. I didn't care, abused and fully expected to break one, but haven't yet. I also have some brand name ones that I treat nicer, heh. Btw, only $8.99 right now, coupon code 24672724...

It is the welded one. But it doesn't matter, the cup is there to provide alignment. A little better alignment will not hurt. If you make the cup too tall you could lose a slight amount of travel but not a big deal. However, a caveat that everyone should be aware of. Many people, including...
