Has anyone bought and really "tested out" the new(ish) Pittsburgh Pro 25" breaker bar ? I know $20 is pretty cheap, but I would rather have someone else bash their knuckles than me !

I'd rather spend $40 on a used American made bar than $20 than one made in Pittsburgh China![]()
I think you answered your own question on that. I'm not anti-HF, but for something that by definition, you're gonna be wailing on, I'd stick with one of the truck brands or other good USA made tool (Blackhawk, Williams, Proto, etc).

But its Pittsburgh Taiwan not China, as far as the HF Pro Breaker Bar goes

Okay. I am impressed !!I've leaned on it pretty hard a few times. Broke a craftsman socket & the bolt itself but not the breaker bar.
I am shorter, but packing more poundage than you are !I'm about 6'1", 230 lbs.
Most people think twice about pushing the breaking point of a $100 tool vs a $20 tool so they always telling them self it's only 20 so idc.
)The proto 24" breaker bar is weak. Square drive shears easily.

I agree, but probably not a deal breaker.no detents on the floppy head. i looked at one the other day and passed on it. none of there pro ratchets ith flex heads have detents either. strange
I have one and I have used it pretty hard. It has out lasted everything I thrown at it. Definitely worth the money. I sure a $100 tool will be better quality but at $13 I'd have to break 7 of these just to be even. I haven't broken the first one yet.

Used Snap On 24" are going for about $70-$80.
I'll never figure out why Craftsman 3/4" breaker bars are the same length as the 1/2" breaker bar (18").
Get the big snapon on ratchet. I've never had an issue with it but have sheared countless breaker bars.
I do have one breaker bar. The 36 snapon. But it was free
If its anything like the previous version, should be fine.
I've got a Cman breaker bar which I've bent many times over, super soft...Added a HF so I'd have something I could beat without mercy and I shocked myself...its 4x the bar the CMan ever was.
Btw, only $8.99 right now, coupon code 24672724 valid through 7/11/16.
Older one.Is this for the old style or the newer on with the handle?
