    Sheetmetal trailer top

Anyone ever made corners like this and has some tips. Did an attempt but failed, the problem is probably in the geometry of the triangles I'm cutting, any and all tips are welcom! This is where I'm at now, the first 'pie cut' already installed, dimensions are just a wild guess, if I put on a...

Thanks for the info guys, that is indeed a great catalog, on the hunt for an European equivalent, but so far no luck!

    Sheetmetal trailer top

A friend of mine asked me to build a trailer top for his horse trailer, he wants a round nose design as in the picture below, forming the top itself is not a problem since that's only sheetmetal bent in one dimension, the two corners in front I can't figure out how to do. See picture below, the...

    Basement garage build

Update :bounce: About 2 years in and basement still isn't fully finished, still have some lighting, wiring and plumbing to do, but it's getting there. Working out of a basement isn't ideal but it's a whole lot better than having no workshop at all :-), have to be honest the thing I miss the...

    Cold cut saw

It absolutely is!! Wasn't that expensive either (2nd hand) and just works so nice, perfect cuts, relatively quiet (compared to cutoff or dry saw) and easy to operate! Should've bought this years ago.

    Cold cut saw

Thanks for the tips guys Planning on making dedicated tables left and right of the saw with a fixed tape measure and some stops to make cutting accurately easier, anyone have a homebuilt setup like this, any do's and don'ts or even better any pictures?

    Cold cut saw

Recently purchased a second hand cold cut saw and it has been awesome, just made a small run of 10 tables for a diner and the saw performed flawlessly for over 400 cuts. 90° cuts were real easy to get the length perfect, I did struggle however to get double mitred lengths cut to size...

    Basement garage build

This is exactly what I tried to describe in my post but apparantly failed :bounce::bounce: All I need to know is what dimensions of steel I need for the platform and if a 12v24v 4x4 type offroad winch would be suitable to open the platform. Found this online, I like the design as the winch is...

    Basement garage build

Hey guys, back with ... no update :lol_hitti Actually been working on the main house itself and haven't done much in the basement workshop. Will start working on the lift hole cover soon and need your guys help once again. The original plan was to mount the top cover for the lift hole on the...

    Basement garage build

Sorry forgot to mention the most important piece of information :D, a normal car around here weighs around 1.7 tonnes, so add passengers and some extra I'd want the capacity to be around 2.5 metric tonnes.

    Basement garage build

And now the cry for help :spit:, as mentioned in previous posts I was able to buy this lift rather cheap. Extra high lifts don't come by often on the second hand market here and to buy them new they are ridiculously expensive for a hobby garage like mine. The problem is that my original plan...

    Basement garage build

I've tested the lift and ramps with this 3 tonnes machine (don't know the english word for it :-) ) and both performed without a problem. Ran over the ramps multiple times and the skateboard wheels still rolled without problem. I'm pretty confident they will hold. You are right that the wheels...
