For organization, I found it useful to draw inspiration from typical hardware store sections ("paint department", "plumbing", etc) For storage, I made a large bin wall for standard 12-gallon bins like these (though I got a much better price at Costco)

Invent House: bike rack Plans sketched up for a quick weekend project: a simple bike rack from 2x4s :-) This week I shifted most of the shop back over a foot, compressing the laundry / darts / chill area, but opening enough space (I hope) at the front to get the bikes out of the way.
