    How I Make a Broom

Count me in also! I searched the usual places but did not see any of your product for sale. I'd also be in for a whisk broom. I use one for cleaning the corn meal off the pizza stone when we do outdoor pizzas. This was the coolest thread I've seen in a while!! Thanks for sharing!

    Dent repair tools

Well, to bump an older thread. As it happens, my wife parked her car at the airport. It came back with a nasty door ding. pfft. irritating. Even though the paint was scraped, I decided to try out the HF crossbar dent puller. It's a hot glue puller with a crossbar. The results were...

    Dent repair tools

You've probably seen this. This kit is more expensive... and probably equally as frustrating :)

    Dent repair tools

I watched their video. I think they pulled part of the dent, but they slipped in a photoshopped finish on the product. Right around the 2:00 minute mark. There is still a visible crease and it suddenly disappears in a still motion photo. It'd be interesting to learn. I always thought many...

CAMO hidden fasteners look AWESOME. i'm building a deck and like the idea. anybody??

Cool! I swear I've seen your house (or front yard) a dozen times. I used to live in UP and I think I've seen that pergola on the way to Pt Defiance. Your yard looks great as does the pergola! Looking forward to seeing the after photo of your deck. I bet it'll look amazing when you're done!

CAMO hidden fasteners look AWESOME. i'm building a deck and like the idea. anybody??

It's cedar.. I purchased the lumber from Tanglewilde Lumber and installed it a couple months ago. They were great to work with delivered the lumber as scheduled. They even delivered/replaced 6 boards I rejected later the same day. I wonder if Gray Lumber in Tacoma would be a good resource...

CAMO hidden fasteners look AWESOME. i'm building a deck and like the idea. anybody??

Do you guys have a view from your deck? Your home looks like one of the homes that might overlook the Narrows (I live on Olympia). If so, glass railings would look nice. But they're probably a ton of maintenance... Would you keep the same angle on your new boards? I'm assuming your deck...

Sure! It was a pretty straight forward deck... but I was pleased with the outcome. Before After After

I used this system on our deck. I pulled the pressure treated lumber the developer installed and replaced it with tight knot cedar. It looks great! The tool was excellent. There are a few tricks that you'll pick up as you go. I used a bo wrench to straighten the boards if needed. This was...

Found this on the road Friday.

I've had a similar set from Stanley (made in Taiwan) for 15-20 years... It was really my first socket set. They've held up to everything I've given it. I've since upgraded to some US made sockets and ratchets, but I still find myself reaching for this set out of habit. And, for you, the...

Which way does the insulation go?

You might consider reflective interior film treatment for the windows. We did this in our daughters room that has two windows and faces the heat of the sun. It the Gila cling tint (non-adhesive) I purchased at Home Depot. From the outside, it looks flawless. Inside, you can see a few flaws...

Which way does the insulation go?

I'd put the foil towards the sun to reflect the energy rather than absorb it. :)

    Very Upset With Harbor Freight....

I read the first page, then read the last page... and was like WTF, over? We went from someone frustrated at HF to all these other issues that are discussed ad nauseum on this forum.

    Rustoleum deck restore any good?

I've read that advice too. I also read that you can hit it with a rough grit sand paper (80 grit?) to open up the pores and help remove the milling glaze if you want to use a stain to penetrate the wood. My only frustration with waiting for the wood to weather is that you miss the opportunity...

    Rustoleum deck restore any good?

I just put new boards on my deck. I thought about using the deckover stuff, but then I thought it would peel and make it more difficult to find and remove the existing fasteners when I wanted to put new boards down or move to a Trex-like product.
