    My future House/Shop/Pool layout

Thanks for the inputs, I moved the pool a little closer to the Shop, added a concrete walk way and moved the room for the compressor and pool equipment from the back of the shop to the front to be closer to the pool. I also added a shower to the bath as suggested. One of the key things I'm...

    My future House/Shop/Pool layout

I have enjoyed this forum for many years and I am finally in a place where I can start building my dream home/shop. The picture shows the future home which sits on a .75 acre lot I already own, at the end of a Cul-de-sac (hence the strange shape). There is a Pond in the southwest corner I share...

    Compressor Sound Enclosure

Yes I added vents on the bottom of the rear panel to pull in cool air and the exhaust fan moves 50 CFM. I will monitor the temps during summer and add more flow if needed, but I don't run my compressor that hard so I think this probably suffice.

    Compressor Sound Enclosure

I saw this done on this forum a few times and decided to try it for myself. I have a 21 Gallon oiled compressor from Harbor Freight. It works well enough for my weekend tinkering but it was so loud I had to keep hearing protection on any time it was charging. I had most of the materials for this...

    Compressor Problem

I am in the process of building a compressor sound proofing box for my HF 5hp 21 gallon compressor. I will post a thread about that in more detail later. Right now my question is about compressor shutdown pressure release valves. Part of my design is an external switch that controls a 20 amp...

    Expensive, Busy Week

For $15 I added some thin galvanized sheet metal to stop the stains on the work bench. I like the look, we will see how functional it is.

Well, the cabinets are painted, the workbench frame was also painted hammered black, I will be going to the local metal supply to find a 24x96 sheet metal work surface. Here are some pictures of the progress.

    Expensive, Busy Week

Spent the morning prepping and starting to paint the craigslist cabinets. First let me say I still consider my self a newbie when it comes to painting, I have painted parts, wheels and even helped on a full car respray but I lack confidence with a spray gun. If you want to get some confidence...

Got the gladiator cabinets hung last night, they look great! Also picked up an awesome score on craigslist for some old metal cabinets for $30. I need to build shelves inside them and paint them but they area in good condition over all.

    Expensive, Busy Week

One week ago today I found my way onto this forum, I have passed through here a few times over the years but never stopped to look around. Well, after hours of staring at garage *********** in the gallery area and reading dozens of threads I started to get motivated and one week later I am here...
