Yeah, I should have went bigger to start, but I came from a 26x36 detached garage that sufficed and I was on a budget. So a 24x48 was thought to be enough (it actually would probably still work if I just added another garage door out the back but I want to go a little bigger). But of course...
Thanks all. I'm thinking an 'L' shape might be my only option if I don't just want to extend the shop out. I'm just thinking this will add a lot of cost since they'll have to tear off a bunch of siding and the roof to allow for the 'L' addition off to the left or right. I'll have to talk to my...
Here are some pics. I'm in a rural area sitting on 42 acres, so there really aren't any set back, etc. issues. But I am fairly close to the woods on that one side, but could easily widen it 12' or so and still not be too close to the woods. But again, trying to do this as cost effective as possible.
Hi all,
I currently have a 24'x48' detached garage/shop that I've quickly outgrown (was built 4 years ago). I obviously should have went wider since 24' is much too narrow. The garage site with the 24' facing with a 16' garage door.
Anyway, I'm thinking of adding on to it this summer and would...

I'm looking for a bench grinder and want to buy only a quality made in USA unit. Sounds like the older Dayton and Baldor grinders are really good so I'm searching for a used one in excellent condition.
Does anyone know if the 2Z341N model was made in the USA? See attached pic of the...
Agreed...if I was doing spark plugs on a regular basis, then definitely a designated plug socket would be the best. I just changed plugs on my outboard motor and I probably won't need to do it for quite a while...hopefully. But for the price of that Kobalt spark plug socket, wouldn't hurt to...
Oh come one...we're not that weird! :)
Good to know on the semi-deep vs. deep for S-K's. I've seen Snap-On sets that were advertised as semi-deep as well. Sounds like S-K has something similar but I'll make sure to zero in on the truly deeps since that is what I'm really needing.
Thanks for the replies everyone. Since I've only ever used Craftsman deep sockets, I never gave much thought to the shallow/deep broach of the socket. Makes sense though on the shallow broach actually being more useful overall.
So I've swayed away from shallow broach and now I'm back to...
