Re: Opinions on a decent 4.5" angle grinder
My original one was a mastercraft (Canadian tire brand). It lasted about 10 years and then the gears wore out. It had been noisy for awhile. Should I take my new one apart and make sure the gears have plenty of grease?

Thanks everybody. From what I took from this thread as long as I bought a brand name of be ok. So I went to home hardware. They had a few to choose from, but I like the color red so I got a Milwaukee. We'll see how it works out.

Looking for a decent 4.5" angle grinder. It's just for my home garage occasional use. Like to be no more than $100CAD.

It's on my utility trailer. The side uprights, which are about 12-16" high, are made of angle and I want to drill a hole in each one near the bottom to use as anchor points.
I was using an older lincoln electric auto dimming helmet the other day and after 10 minutes of practicing my welds I was seeing spots and had a slight headache. I had a lot of start and stops in that time though. So now I'm looking for a better helmet. I am looking at two different helmets and...
Well I got some gas today and tried it. There is a small gas leak where the nozzle hose joins the body of the welder. I took it apart and there are 2 o-rings. Do I need special o-rings or can I just match some up from my local car parts store.
Thanks for all the replys. I went with the 220v migpak 15. Came with a cart, a gas bottle(empty), and 2 helmets. One auto darkening and one not.
I might get a different cart but Thats all. Now to get the bottle filled. It is a BOC gas bottle but not sure if I can get it locally or not. I know...
I am looking for a mig but unsure what to get. I am looking at a new lincoln mig 140 or a used mig pak 15. The mig pak 15 comes with a gas bottle, cart, and some other small things. The 140 would be brand new. They would end up being about the same price.
I have 220v in the garage and this mig...
Looking for info or experience with either of these heaters. Looking at either a Lennox lf24 series heater, or a heatstar heater. The garage is only around 700 sq/ft. The heatstar was $300 cheaper. Thanks
