Is there a socket for this motor thru-bolt head?

It's from a 1998 Frigidaire washing machine, "FHP Motors" on the tag.

Is there a socket for this motor thru-bolt head?

Is there a name for this type of bolt head, and is there a socket for it?

Show us your awls, ice picks, punches, and other pointy tools

I inherited this ice pick from my father. I wonder if it was bent from years of use or if it was made bent.

Is this a pressure relief valve?

I replaced the pvc plug with a 75psi pressure relief valve, and I replaced the drain valve which was dripping.

Is this a pressure relief valve?

The pressure switch was not working right and the pressure approached 100psi before I shut it off. The plastic plug did not blow out. I need to replace it with a 75psi prv.

Is this a pressure relief valve?

The short piece to the right of the drain valve, under the pressure switch ****** - is that a pressure relief valve? It doesn't look like any that are currently sold. If not, is it a cleanout? Looks like pvc.

In duct blower motor not installed to code

Update - I removed the wiring to the blower motor. It is on a 20amp circuit that was extended from a receptacle with 14awg wire. And when I removed the back stabbed wires from the receptacle they both pulled out, did not have to push in the release. And the hot wire had a bare spot that was...

In duct blower motor not installed to code

It would only be an issue if the house was sold and an inspector noticed it. Sometimes I notice things and wonder why it was done that way.

In duct blower motor not installed to code

It's not connected to the furnace. There is a wood stove in the dining room, and when they burn wood it warms that area well, and the furnace does not run. They wanted to direct heat from the dining room to the basement, so the pipes don't freeze.

In duct blower motor not installed to code

It's a Suncourt DB208. I can't find info for that model, only for the DB208C which is the corded version, I would say. So it never had a cord.

In duct blower motor not installed to code

I found this in a family member's home. This is an 8" duct with a blower motor. The motor comes with a 6' power cord. It looks like the plug and all of the insulation was removed and the 3 wires were wire nutted to romex wires outside the box. I see 2 options to get this up to code. 1- Buy...

Are there any nut drivers longer than 6" (shaft) and shorter than 18"

Perfect size unless you need more than 6" of shaft, like on some furnaces. Next size up is 18" shaft. There should be a 12", it would come in handy.

Bringing this well pressure switch setup up to code?

My guess would be UF in a conduit. I don't see any markings on it. The only pump controller (I am aware of) is the pressure switch. I don't know what it looks like at the (dug) well. It's not a drilled well. I don't know if the pump has been replaced. House was built in 1974.

Bringing this well pressure switch setup up to code?

There is no GFCI on the circuit. It's 15 amp, 240V, hard-wired.

Bringing this well pressure switch setup up to code?

It looks like this wiring was originally code compliant, but at some point in time it was altered. The splice connecting the well pump wiring to the pressure switch wiring in hanging in the open. I think it would need a 2x4 attached to the wall, then a junction box attached to the board, and...
