    The problem with using 1/2 to 3/8 reducer on a possibly seized drainplug, is the head of the reducer/adaptor is NOT solid on any of the manufacturers, they are cast formed with a spring load 'bb' (for lack of a better term), they will break easily in just about every case, you're adding length...
