    Max Jax Anchors

I had a chance to use my lift last night and thought of this thread...I did my "breaker bar pull" and then checked with a torque wrench... I was between 75 and 85 ft/lbs...so I guess that matches up with Danmar's recommendations.

    Max Jax Anchors

Once the anchors are set, I just give a decent tug on a 1/2 breaker bar and use the lift....Good question though, been asked, but I don't remember if it was ever answered.

Copper Air Lines - Good Sweat Joint

Nice work...Will SS and Copper have corrosion issues? Are you going to go hog wild and polish/varnish the copper so it looks new forever?

    MaxJax Anchor Bolts

I had 3 1/2 inches and old concrete. the anchors seemed to hold but when I put the column on and shoved the column, it pulled them loose....so, I dug out 4' X 4' X 8" and re-poured...worked like a champ!!!

    MaxJax Column Spacing

Kool, the 5" is per side - you can probably see the arms slightly extended at each point...I forget right now what the width was,,,Kinda think it was 63" or so side to side and 39" front to back...What I really ended up doing was to set the Right post, position the car and mark the left...

    Maxjax Question (issue)

I found out the hard way to let ALL of the pressure out of the lines before disconnecting!@@! I nearly couldn't get them back on at either the pump or the columns....Made sure next time to lean on the lever a little longer and no more difficult connections. ALso, make sure you hold onto the...

    What cabinets is everyone buying.

I was planning on the all aluminum Moduline cabinets...yes, they are pricey, but look fantastic. $$ will tell what I really end up with. Have a boating buddy coming over to give me some ideas - he is a cabinet maker and needs a little more work

My MaxJax should get installed tomorrow. Yeah!

Congratulations! You will love it, as long as you enjoy working on your cars :-)

    MaxJax Column Spacing

I dont know offhand. I figure the wide positioning for the Vette is due to the fore/aft lifting points are only 39" apart, causing the arms to be more toward the center thus having to move the colums apart. On other cars, the fore/aft points may be further apart allowing the arms to spread and...

    Real setup time of MaxJax

I just finished my install today. I leave one post in place, the other takes about 4 minutes to bolt down, another 3 to hook up hoses and power cord...

    MaxJax Column Spacing

Junkman, you crack me up! :) I finally got it installed today. Put the outside edges of the plates at 133" and have about 5" to spare...Now to finish the drywall, cabinets, rob a bank to pay for it, and the epoxy floor...THEN I can fill up the kegerator with a real KEG!!

    MaxJax Column Spacing

Well, I hadn't looked at it like that, but now you know and I hope to learn what other posters have  The problem I had was with the Z...At 130" outside plate spacing, the fully retracted arms just lined up with the lifting points on the (wide) frame. I was thinking of going wider to...

    MaxJax Column Spacing

There are a lot of MaxJax users now that my concrete issues have been fixed, I am about to become one of you :bounce: I want to know the distance between columns that has worked (and perhaps not worked) for various cars...The cars I am primarily concerned with are: C6 corvettes (both verts and...
