Since your going with a single stage you should get this one http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_211720_211720 It's not much more than the one you want and you get more cfm plus 2 more horses. You also get a 1/2" outlet vs. the 3/8" outlet on the one you plan to get.

If your not spraying in a paint booth then your only safe when using an air line respirator. It starts around 4-500 bucks but well worth the investment

Get a big one cause one day you'll eventually regret getting a small one. Always buy more than you need. I've learned you waste more money replacing things you thought were adequate but actually wasn't. Especially with air compressors, I don't know anyone that hasn't replaced their air...

I change the plastic once and a while. It should be changed for every paint job but I haven't had problems reusing it. It works ok but i'd rather have a separate garage area just for painting. I'm no pro at painting, just do it as a hobby. I went to visit your website. Very nice shop and toys...

it's just plastic hanging from the ceiling. i used 2 intake fans and 2 exhaust fans all with filters. here's how one of the cars i painted came out.

It's not really the tools. It's having the huge garage/shops like some of those on here have. :)
