    Old-school catalog of DIY books?

In the 90s I used to receive a cheap paper catalog of books about all sorts of DIY/Survival-type topics. Everything from building a log cabin, building your own lathes and mills, to making stills. It came up in conversation with a buddy yesterday and it's killing me that I can't remember the...

garage stereo - ideas or post your setup

Re: Lets see your Shop Audio! I run a Logitech Z680 computer system. It's a 5.1 system, but I'm only running 3 speakers and the sub. Wife hates it cause the bass is so loud. She doesn't know that I'm piecing together a bigger setup for the next house :-)

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Just got my valve body apart. Might should have checked to see if there were reassembly instructions in the manual before I exploded it, huh?

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

That's a double edged sword. Usually means you can swing just about anything as 'repair parts.' Also means you never get sweet gifts like that unless you drop mega hints. My wife got me the DeWalt 20V Oscillating saw that I've been eyeing for a good while--and I never even told her...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Just dropped the ****** pan on my 65 Rambler Classic wagon. Some sort of strange intermittent problem, hopefully be able to diagnose from the valve body. Doesn't smell good so far, thinking it might have roasted the clutches.

    1920’s(20’x35’) garage with flush lift

My long-term plan, once I'm settled after retirement, is to build something of that ilk. Can't wait to see the progress on your shop. I'm years away from being able to live in one place long enough to see something like that through.

    20x23 2-Car

Re: 20x23 2-Car organization/facelift in Alaska Thanks guys. I still haven't done anything with the steps. My wife OK'd using some of the long, narrow ceramic tiles that look like hardwood flooring. I just haven't done it yet. Once I get the rambler back out this week, I'll get a couple of...

    20x23 2-Car

Since my last update, I finally got home and decided to build a shed. I went with an 8x12 framed shed to keep costs down. I only wanted something big enough to get big items out of the garage to make room for working on my newest habit--chainsaws. I put the large space-hog, seldom-used items...

    Gladiator ever go on sale

They go on sale relatively frequently. I'd suggest you check out www.slickdeals.net and set a "deal alert" for Gladiator. People post deals from all over the place, and I guarantee, if a major retailer puts a piece of GGW on sale, it'll be posted there within hours. I also added a bunch of...

    20x23 2-Car

Embarrassingly, it's been over a year since I've updated this. So much for accountability, huh? I'm currently overseas, should be home in mid-late summer, in time to do some motorcycle riding and finish up a few more tasks in the garage before winter sets in with a vengeance. Things I've...
