Best way to split a seam in small Al pipe

If you have access to a table saw and a rip fence: fasten length of tubing at both ends, to a piece of wood such s a 2x2 of the same length or a little longer. You may have to drill a hole in both ends of tubing to make sure it won't turn and screw / bolt it to the wood. Using a very fine blade...

I have it narrowed down between two 4-Post Bendpak Lifts....

I have the HD9XW and the ability to move the one rail in or out is great. I needed that option to drop an engine. (Porsche) The measurement from the bottom of the rail to my garage floor is: 77.75 inches when it is fully raised. I can fit my '13 RAM 1500 4x4 Quad Cab under it, but as stated, it...

    Post Your Drywall Tips Here

For small repairs I don't sand. I use various porous sponges, from very soft to very stiff. NO dust. Actually I have done a complete room like that and yes, it does take a little longer.

Shopsmith multi-purpose woodworking tool system...anyone used one?

My Dad owned one in the 50's and paid $300 for it. It is still running today. I bought one in the 70's and it is also still running. (paid $900) As stated above, they are great for most projects and can be "put away" when not in use. If one plans their cuts and procedure prior to using it...

Tools you keep in the house during the winter

I have that many tools and toys, that I had to build a garage with a BendPak 4 post lift and a separate NG furnace. My basement is also full. I don't bring anything inside unless it's the Harley in the Livingroom. However, since new garage is now heated I don't have to do that. Poor bike had to...

Opinions on Sets of Swivel Sockets vs. Just using a Swivel Addapter

There are a few places on a Porsche engine, (still in the vehicle) that the slight difference in the total length of the swivel socket (a respected person on another forum calls 'em "wobbly sockets), and the added length of an adapter, would make a lot of difference.

    Bendpak 4 post lift question

I have the same lift. Listen for the 4 clicks! Sometimes they sound pretty close together, and make sure all 4 corners are coming down.

    4 post lifts

Without knowing any of the dimensions you are working with regards to height etc. I would suggest using the "Search" tool here. I have just installed a BendPak HD9XW 4 post in a garage that was designed for that purpose. I used Babco Tools out of BC Canada and have had no problems. I live at...

    Four post lifts?

That was my choice and exact model and rolling jack for the same reasons. The service over here in my part of Canada is also top rate. The Canadian distributor is Bruce at Babco and his staff are great!

    Where to buy Bend Pak?

Ordered my HD9XW and RJ4500 Rolling Jack from Babco and had it delivered and installed here just outside of London ON. GREAT people and good follow up!.. The installer is a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, but then, no one is perfect!!..LOL. Seriously, great people to deal with. I did mention this Forum...

    garage doors

Is your main garage under a bedroom? If so, and you are in an area of cold weather, I would consider an insulated door. I live in Ontario (Canada) and have two Garaga fully insulated aluminium doors. One is 7x17 and the other is 7x12. I do heat my garages. They weren't cheap!! LOL
