Thanks everyone for your input. My door is very heavy and has four springs and I had one changed about four months ago so I'm having the remaining two done today. First spring was quality work but they ripped my face off so the other three I've been slower to act. I don't give the installers...
I had a sort of professional come out and replace a busted spring. I have four springs since I have an 8' custom wood and insulated door. An hour after he left another spring snapped the first time I opened the door. The springs are 10 years old. Could he have not put enough tension on the new...
My floor is over 6 years old and in fantastic condition. However, I parked a car in the third bay for about two months (rarely ever park there) and a brown/orange stain has appeared. It will not come off with simple green and scrub brush. Also tried WD-40. Also tried a magic eraser, with...
You can't run two "separate" rooms off one unit because there are no ducts. I bought a Della brand on Amazon, pre-charged for $800 and I'm in Houston and it keeps my 575 sq ft garage with 11' ceilings nice and cool in summer and ran the heat when it was 22 degrees and it warmed it up nicely...
I pretty much built out this garage from initial construction to what it is now. Many, many changes and different solutions but this is the outcome. See pics.

660 sq. ft. in Houston. Currently ArmorPoxy with clear poly top and some skid grit - Hint, it takes very little to get reasonable skid resistance. Started six years ago with U Coat It but I beat that up with trailers, off road motorcycles, tools, jackst etc. Two years ago I gave the floor a...
Just want to share my experience with both:
In Feb. 2014 I applied U Coat It after diamond cutting and prep. It's a two coating process and at the time a clear topcoat was not offered. In 2017 I heavily scuffed the U Coat It and laid down the ArmorClad kit with topcoat.
The U Coat It (not...
Just laid down the main epoxy coating this afternoon and some parts of the floor have dimples popping up and others don't. Anyone have an answer? A repair?
Can I ask how slick the epoxy coat was before you put on the topcoat? I am putting down epoxy only and am curious about a potential slip and fall.
Thanks,
Little backstory: I laid down a competitors epoxy and it's done it's job as my prep work was uber meticulous and I've had virtually no lifting. Floor's been properly scuffed and I'm going to apply the two part Armor Clad in about a week when the weather's optimal.
I need hands on Armorclad...
