I wouldn't sweat a few cosmetics. You can't beat the price and they are for work not show. ( My stuff get's dinged, skuffed, dented, and rusty with time and use anyway. )
I use old magnetic car door signs for mats to put the nuts, bolts, screws, small parts on to keep them from getting lost or rolling away. Also one in the parts/tool tray under the rolling garage seat.
Nice. Every Sq foot counts. Quick thinking before the plumber got their. I probably wouldn't have thought of it until 6 months after the new W/H went in. If even then.
Survey prices are high. (my estimate during a disbute was for 5k on a .92 acre). The Planning Board doesn't except class D surveys ( The ones that only cost a few hundred dollars.) in my area. (They also have their mind made up before due process, But thats another story)

I started lining my boxes with non slip rubber that is used under rugs. It's available at lowes/HD. I also picked some smaller rolls up at the dollar store that are wide enough to fit the drawers and just need to be cut to length. It comes in different colors but I only buy it when I can find...
I used slab shield. It comes in 5' X 125' rolls. It's like huge rolls of sill seal with reflective material sandwich in between the layers. I think it came in 1/2" thickness. Easy to transport, Easy to cut, Easy to put down. (roll it out and tape the seams)
I disconnected the garage door openers about 5 years ago. The doors are the old, heavy, one piece, overhead head, non roll up style. (I also got tired of walking all over for who had the remotes last.) Now I'm pretty much the only one who uses the garage.
