    The Garage Pit

    Unless you have unlimited funds to throw at such a project, as has already been discussed, building codes make construction of a pit almost cost prohibitive. There are stringent electrical, ventilation and drainage requirements. Far cheaper to go with a lift; even a very, very expensive one!

    Doubling up pegboard?

    Maybe it is possible to purchase twice the amount of 3/16" pegboard for less than enough to use a single-layer of 1/4", but I doubt it? Secondly double layered 3/16" will do no good unless the two layers are solidly connected to one another. Then, once tied together, I doubt that any available...
