How do I know what the 24v transformer looks like?

Could I just move the G wire to be the C wire?

Yeah mine has the green G hooked up already as well but I don't have a reason to run the fan either. I will look and see how that green wire is hooked up currently and see if I can just use that one. Sounds like though I may need to move it to the negative post on the 24v transformer. Thank you...

Looking to power a Nest thermostat. I popped open my heater and see the C wire isn't actually connected on the back. I do need a green G wire connected which I assume is ground. Wondering if I can add a C wire though to this unit. I am having a hard time finding the model number though so will...
