VFD on 36" bandsaw restoration want IPM speed display any ideas?

Right on. This is my first bandsaw so I have no clue about blade speed. I think the speed differs with different blades at least partly? I will have the ability to slow the motor with a VFD. I'm going to have to figure out a range so I can calculate my drive pulley size. As for the motorhere's a...

VFD on 36" bandsaw restoration want IPM speed display any ideas?

Hey all. I picked up an antique bandsaw for $100. It's a Defiance 36" from the early 1900s. I'm planning on restoring it. Planning on mounting a 7.5 hp 3 phase and running it off a VFD for speed control and running single phase. First of all I'm not sure at what speed range one of these operates...

My friend teaches automation/instrumentation at a local community College. He says you can find better gear than Allen Bradley but you can't find more expensive! lol!

    R30 champion

Addictive indeed. The legacy compressors like Saylor Beall, Champion, Devilbiss, Quincy, Westinghouse/LeRoi/Dresser, Ingersoll Rand. I've got seven compressors in various states of rebuild atm.

Testing an Idealarc 250 in garage with no power

Update: Well, for $40 I took a chance sing and dance as my old auto mechanics teacher used to say. Plugged her in and boom, burning 7018 rod no problem. The only issue is the power switch is stuck in the on position and the welding leads are not welding wire they are stiff old heavy copper for...

Testing an Idealarc 250 in garage with no power

Hey there, I'm looking at buying a used Lincoln Idealarc 250 AC/DC welder I found online. It's stored in a garage that doesn't have electricity. I thought if the price was right and it tested the same as my working Lincoln AC-225-S with an ohm meter it was worth taking a chance. I tested my...
