Thanks Scotty. Would I be able to feather your product over an EC edge? It seems like if I am within the 18 hour window, the EC should be tacky enough to accept a topcoat.

Tomorrow I'm set to use gray Epoxy-Coat (EC) on my garage and attached storage shed. I miscalculated total square footage of the two spaces, and I think I'm about 60 square feet short (using a generous application). I have the floor prepped and I need to lay the EC asap b/c we are going out of...

This is a great thread for those, like me, who are about to etch their slab prior to using an epoxy. In other posts I've read that the acid etch actually makes your concrete slab weaker. That seems to be an extreme view since the muric acid is diluted and only comes into contact with the surface...

I'm not too happy with Lowes' special order department, and I would order the clear through Epoxy-Coat if the price is the same as Lowes. Did anyone find out if Lowes has a better price on a full clear kit than EC? Thanks.

Kevin54 did a great job explaining "Bueller." It is a colloquialism used in many contexts, based on the film. I use it when someone is suspiciously absent, but that doesn't translate very well (even in English) :bounce: ! I have shown your tile floor to my wife, who said it looks better than...

Thanks for your post. I was going to grind my floor (I have a new slab) but your experience helped me realize that grinding would be overkill. I think that your color combination looks great! :thumbup:
