New garage with only 1 outlet? Hmm

The right thing to do in this situation is to speak with the owner and work out a solution. Since they own the property their rules should apply, however if you cannot use the property as you wish to then you should seek other accommodations. You should by no means what so ever modify their...

    Another lift question

Now I am biased but I love my A-7. American made, built like a tank, and it will outlast me. However, I was lucky enough to find it used for $1500 last year. I found it on craigslist using "http://www.searchtempest.com/" which allows you to search every CL site there is. If you don't have...

Lets be honest guys if SO saw a value or possible profit to sell in the big box stores, THEY WILL. Why would they miss out on a chance to be exposed to another market?

rediculous CL add of the day

Do you know the guy well enough to call him a *****? If so go get him some shingles. Look guys there is a real good chance it is a scam and they are trying to rip people off. However, there is also a chance that this family might really need some help. I find it odd how people are so quick...

    Bosch drill (NEW)

Come on guys... educate your self before you post. This is a PRODUCTION drill, hence the built in torque wrench. For example if you wanted to say drive 1000 nuts down to 8 NM then this is the way to do it FAST. This is not a drywall drill it is a production drill. Just like you love your...

    My First Lathe

The seller/Company Owner used a fork lift to load it. BTW the trailer is a hell of a deal. It can carry 2,300lbs and has surge brakes. Not bad for $28 a day...... Getting it off was a pain. We used a series of ratcheting tie downs (come-along would have been better) to move it to the edge...

    My First Lathe

Thank you for the kind words..... I am not sure what I am going to do with the Punch Press, but whatever it is I will keep my fingers out of it (Been there....Done that). Unfortunately I only have a 200A single phase service. I live in suburbia and true three phase service is not an option...

    My First Lathe

I have always wanted to have my own metal shop and last weekend I took the first step. I have zero experience with this type of equipment so I realize that I have a long way to go before I can make any thing of substance. Enjoy the pics and I will update this thread once I run a new power...
