Replacing driveway, but suspicious of contractor

Fiber is good for smaller shrinkage cracks and improves the concretes stregnth over all, but isn't a rebar substitute. Even if they use the larger fiber. If they use Micro fibre ( looks like very small hairs) the rebar would be recommended. A compromise, would be to use micro fiber + welded...

    New Slab....tons of problems

It's a tough call. If they used rebar, then demo will be more challenging, but if the mix supplier is paying, then start from scratch and demo out the old and re-pour. However, if the mix supplier is only going give you more concrete, then pout slab over slab with the mix you originally wanted.

    I need concrete advise

BA - I totally get your situation, in that budget is a major concern. Since you have a former concrete guy to help, you should be fine, as long as everyone else that says their going to help actually shows up on time! Your shop would be about 2.5 to 3 trucks of redi mix, so be sure to have...

    Hola from CA !

Thanks to all you guys. I appreciate the tip on the parts show. ( I have been to it, but funds are tight right now, so I don't wanna be tempted by attending and spending $$ I don't have). Again, thanks so much for the welcome! Very cool. :)

What to use over older epoxy?

Hey Jimmy, If the peel up spots are not too bad, then yes, simply rough sand the floor with 60 - 80 grit sandpaper on a floor buffer machine + scrub with degreaser. Allow to dry and then reapply. The sanding will allow you to bite into the old coating. ( Plus, you may want to 1st put some on...

    Looking for simple sealer

If the concrete guys used a fair amount of Curing agent, during the pour, that will likely act like a bond breaker, so if you don't want to put alot into prep, like sanding, grinding or stripper a great option is a floor wax. Floor wax is cheap, easy to apply with a mop and if you don't like...

Motorcycle Kick stands - anti scratching?

This is a smokin' good idea! Thanks so much for the pic. Now I can see how simple that would be to do. (My neighbor's son play hockey in the street and they've tons of these. I'll buy four from them and try it out.) Thanks to everyone for the other cool ideas and suggestions. It's appreciated...

Motorcycle Kick stands - anti scratching?

I'm going to buy two new stands for my Honda 250's and thought I'd get some that aren't metal on the bottom, so they won't scratch the nice epoxy floor i've got, while wrenching & repairing. ( The powder coating of the metal bottoms, all worn off to bare metal, so it seems to make a "rub mark"...
