Astro Pneumatic Tool 7865 Ball Joint Service Tool

For those like me, that were silly enough to disassemble the screw for cleaning and lubrication and lost the ball bearing that goes behind the anvil inside the screw, it’s a 16mm ball. It’s not listed in the replacement parts diagram and Astro doesn’t sell it. (If they even know it’s in there)

Who makes a decent set? I've tried the Hazard Fraught set and they're garbage.

    Melted pressure washer hose, again

User error? Possibly, but I’ve done it myself with mine. It’s easy to do when you’re busy washing things and the pump outlet is close to the exhaust. That’s why I suggested the 90 deg. elbow. It gets the hose routed behind the handle and away from the exh. and makes contact far less likely.

    Melted pressure washer hose, again

Install a 90 deg. elbow at the connection to the pump and turn the hose to the rear?

    Lawn Mower Gauge Cluster Install

If I could’ve figured out a decent way to add a cyl. Head temp gauge or oil temp gauge, I would have… Tach seems unnecessary because I don’t need to shift. 🤪 there was a guy on YouTube that added a fuel gauge but I wasn’t keen on cutting into the fuel tank. Besides, running out of fuel is rarely...

    Lawn Mower Gauge Cluster Install

Give me some credit, geez! The hour meter wasn’t included with the mower, but it was available as a factory supplied kit and was the very first thing I did. Thanks to all for the compliments.

    Lawn Mower Gauge Cluster Install

My 20+ y.o. JD mower died, so I had to get a new one, and settled on the Cub Cadet 50" Ultima ZT1 with the Kawasaki 23 hp. engine. After mowing a couple of times, I noticed that it did not have a low oil shutdown switch installed. That won't do. It would've been easy enough to install one, but...

Knife Sharpening Fanatics: Need a power tool!

I love having a sharp knife, but the sharpening process is pure drudgery. I wanted a Tormek style sharpener, but I wasn’t willing to shell out that much change and wound up buying the Wen wet/dry sharpening system. Wen Sharpener Very similar to the Tormek for FAR less money and does exactly...

    Show your new tool arrivals

I love mine (different brand, same tool) but I stripped the gear teeth out of the 10mm with light use.

    Show your new tool arrivals

Just picked up a Grizzly 7x14 lathe so I can make small pieces of material out of larger ones. I added a quick-change tool post and tool holders, carbide and HSS bits, a 4-jaw chuck, live center and a 5/8" chuck to it while I was at it. I have it mounted to a HF Yukon tool box that I picked up...

Porter Cable DA250A Finish Nailer, hammer not retracting

From experience, you will eventually wind up replacing the piston bumper (part 114 from your IPL) and the trigger valve. The bumper degrades over time and will crumble while in use. The trigger valves will wear out as well. Other than these two parts, my 5 PC nailers have been pretty well bomb...

    Fogged Thermal Windows

Glass has gotten outrageous. I had to replace an IG unit in a kitchen window in October. $128 for a 25x27 glass unit, plain glass, air filled.
