Jegs parts washer and Summit Degreaser problems

I will definitely look into that stuff. My washer is a 40 gal (23 gal solvent) so to keep costs down, I may need to have a smaller tank to pull from. Do you need to soak your parts first or is the solvent strong enough to remove gunk without soaking. What type of paint do you use or prefer? Carl

Jegs parts washer and Summit Degreaser problems

It is a water based solution. The washer is from Jegs and sure it china made. Using mineral spirits or kerosene , does that take a special pump? The pump I have looks one you use in a fish tank. Carl

Jegs parts washer and Summit Degreaser problems

I put Summit parts washer degreaser in my parts washer about a year ago. I had not used it for awhile (about 4 months) so it has just been sitting in there during this time. I went to use it today and found a mess. The solution formed crystals (like wet laundry soap powder) everywhere the...

Need advice on VCT transition and adhesive

Late in giving feedback (as rbunch mentioned) on how the floor went. After power washing the floor and vacuuming the floor in the low spots to remove the water, I let the floor dry for a couple of days to make sure it was good and dry. I used the Henry 430 adhesive and could not be happier...

Planned on VCT - But should I go RaceDeck instead?

Thank You Larry4406 and gabeancounter for the compliments. Colin I don't have any real experience with tires leaving marks yet but from the prior post I have read, it is not only the hot tires can cause marks but the outgassing the tires emit. The common thing is to put a commercial vinyl...

Planned on VCT - But should I go RaceDeck instead?

I just laid 2600 sqft of VCT and really glad I went with it. Obviously I don't have any long term experience but from prior posts, if it gets too dirty, you just strip and rewax. I did put a sealer down before the wax to help with any potential stains. I had a few (smaller) oil stains and I...

    Opinions on Challenger, Revolution/Rotary lifts

Just realized I never committed back on this post. Wound up going with a CL10V3 by Challenger but did not go as smooth as I expected. The original columns were built to big and could not be assemble. After talking with the company, they sent new columns so it took about 6 weeks to get everything...

Need advice on VCT transition and adhesive

I am ready install VCT in 2600 sqft of my barn and need some advise. From reading posts, it looks like Armstrong S-750 adhesive is what people use but it is hard to get. I can order it online only at Home Depo but only in 4 gallons and take 3 weeks to get in. One gallons are not available...

    Opinions on Challenger, Revolution/Rotary lifts

Was leaning towards the Revolution but when talking to my local dealer, he said starting April 1, Revolution was going to be eliminated and would become a Forward lift. So if I was to order one, it would come in as a Forward lift. This is still under the Rotary umbrella and supposedly the same...

    Opinions on Challenger, Revolution/Rotary lifts

Both Michigan dealers are steering me to Revolution with one saying the SPOA10 would be easier to adjust the arms though. I think it was more about the Flip-up pads . The only problem with that is it seems while it is great for trucks, it does not seem as good for uni-body cars. The thing I...

    Opinions on Challenger, Revolution/Rotary lifts

@longez That's for the feedback. When working at GM, they use Rotary exclusively and never saw one broke down. That's what started me looking at Rotary. Thanks Carl

    Opinions on Challenger, Revolution/Rotary lifts

When searching for a lift, did you look at the Revolution brand of Rotary? What were the features that sold you on the SPOA10 and did you go with the Trio arms? Can the Flip-up pad be changed to a regular Poly pad for unibody cars? Do you lifts cars with this and does it work good with framed...
