I like Jon's idea. I have been considering going the unfinished cabinet idea myself and staining. The cost isn't too bad either. I'm still going back and forth on whether I want metal for durability and resistance to chemical leaks though.

I paid just a shade over $2k for a high lift install with the 8500 that also covered the cost of a new high quality insulated door. I thought the price was high, but the other quotes I got were a few hundred dollars more than that. I think location will play a factor into pricing.
