what color should I paint the garage door holders?

Coat them in graphene. Do the rollers and hinges too. http://iacoatings.com/graphene/?gclid=CjwKCAiAoqXQBRA8EiwAIIOWsp9VRSEqLSF6EYD1BPtnPOesPuU9lsqOufJivx9SfGkatK-pHcLgARoCDJEQAvD_BwE

    Sonos, Airplay, Bluetooth, Speakers???

So I'm not by any means an audiophile. In fact, I'm legally deaf in one ear. I like volume and the ability to feel the bass, but I don't need to be able to shake things off the walls. However close I can get to the threshold of annoying my neighbors or my wife without hearing any complaints is...

    Sonos, Airplay, Bluetooth, Speakers???

Okay, I think I'm sold on Sonos. Now the question is what combination of speakers. 1. Two Sonos One's (+ sub in the future) 2. Sonos 5 (+ second 5 in the future) I think I'm going to buy two 1's and the 5, test them against each other, and then keep the setup that wins. I do a lot of indoor...

    Sonos, Airplay, Bluetooth, Speakers???

I'm wrapping up my garage renovation and will be posting pictures of the process as soon as the new door is installed in a week or two. In the meantime, I need some suggestions from the music connoisseurs here. I intend to use the garage as a workout room and I have three priorities: 1...

    Ring doorbell? -- other ideas

I installed a nest camera above my front porch because it basically does everything the ring does, but it records 24/7. Only problem is it requires an annual subscription, but I installed one in front of my garage already and really liked it overall.

    Easy space efficient bicycle storage

A little pricey, but this is what I got for two of my bikes. You roll the bike up to it and then you can swing the bike to the side flat against the wall https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004N9BUEY/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    16' x 7' Insulated Garage Door Recommendation

Thank you Todd! You just gave me an idea to try to get the price down by negotiating the vinyl liners. They're trying to charge $180 for those... granted I could easily do them myself. I was going back and forth on the windows due to security concerns, but my driveway is basically a tunnel with...

    16' x 7' Insulated Garage Door Recommendation

What do you mean window sections should have struts? And what are pusher strings. I only have 8' ceilings, so no high lift track. The purpose of the 8500 was mainly to replace an ancient opener with a smart one and to de-clutter an already low ceiling.

    16' x 7' Insulated Garage Door Recommendation

I'm in Houston, TX. I was considering going with an Amarr door with the triple layer 2" polyurethane foam. Thoughts?

    16' x 7' Insulated Garage Door Recommendation

I'm also hoping for door + install and those prices seem pretty good! I'm seeing approx $1,700 for 2" thick with polyurethane insulation. Add windows and it becomes $2,100. Going to meet someone at the house this afternoon and get another quote.

    16' x 7' Insulated Garage Door Recommendation

I like the idea of adding windows to the garage door as I have no source of natural light otherwise. Did you go frosted or tinted to prevent anyone from being able to see inside your garage?

    16' x 7' Insulated Garage Door Recommendation

Can anybody recommend a good quality insulated garage door that will work with the Liftmaster 8500 opener? Did you go through Home Depot / Lowes? Elsewhere? Did you self install or hire someone to install it?

I have a small (700 gallon) concrete pond / plunge pool I simply waterproofed by painting with Drylok. It works really well!
