    Quincy compressor issue

This is what I think it was. I went in and loosened the connections and reinserted wires until they but up against the insulation and tightened it good. did this with all visible connections and so far it hasn't tripped once, and it tripped about 5 times this AM. Thank you for sharing the...

    Quincy compressor issue

Thank you for the tips, I'll check into them. Sorry for the late response, I had family matters and I didnt have alerts set. Didn't think anyone replied. I'm noticing that the breaker is never tripping before it reaches its programmed PSI. it hits it, then trips, if that makes any difference...

    Quincy compressor issue

Hello fellas, I have a 5HP 80 gallon Quincy compressor. Been having a problem when I work it good, the breaker on the compressor is flipping. I keep a fan on the motor so it stays fairly cool. What may be causing it to trip? Any ideas are appreciated. thanks Jim

    Ultimate Machine Shop Organization

Your shop story reminds me of mine...almost to the T. I started in 2001 with a VF3 and a CL200, plus some support equipment. Had the opportunity to grow by leaps and bounds but decided to stay small...less stress. I decided to get well organized a few years back. Puts more pride in what I...

in floor heat reservoir loss of 3/4 gallon glycol

Thank you guys. It's holding the same level since when i came in monday am. It finally got back up to temp inside. Hard to do when below zero over night and howling winds. Just was concerned about why level dropped. It's now 74 degrees in there and 10 degrees outside. It's been resting...

in floor heat reservoir loss of 3/4 gallon glycol

Thank you guys. They are 12" apart . Actually around 18 it's just that it's facing the west and the North wind is blowing the exhaust by the intake. I reverted the flow so it helps. Still getting a bit there but not bad. The expansion tank is probably what he has doubled as the reservoir...

in floor heat reservoir loss of 3/4 gallon glycol

Hello fellas, Floor was doing fine running perfect no fluid loss. Have a 2400 sf. Building 10 loops. Was keeping 70 deg. Perfectly at around 30 degree temps. It hardly ran. In fact i only noticed it running for 1/2 hr in the am and would normally sit all day. Well, the single digits came in...

    outside done

Fellas, thanks for the kind comments and the words of encouragement. I'll get thru the money situation even though I had to take another loan. It's just that I trusted the person and now I found out that he has cheated people out of millions. I may one day take him to court on fraud but...

    fans for a 40x60x12 shop

Rburke, industrial type ceiling fans, that look like typical house ceiling fans, they just have an industrial motor. I've been doing research and I think I'm just going to go with two wall mounts that have 3 speeds. I'll mount them at opposite ends of the shop near each corner. CFM on high...

    outside done

Outside is done other than gutters. Got the inside framed. I'm happy that it'll be done in a month. I am/was suffering from an illness and the first contractor I used did terrible work and ran off with a big chunk of my money, but that's another story. A fella( joe ) came in and tore...

    fans for a 40x60x12 shop

Fellas, I'd like to get some air circulation for my new build shop. Should I get industrial ceiling flat mount fans (like in houses) or should I get angle mount fans that mount to the ceiling and come in at an angle? How many and what size would do? I'm just looking to move warm air and to...

    What's your insurance cost?

I know they are going to all be different, and I was planning on getting quotes. I am just seeing what everyone else is paying. I know they will all be different. Thanks for the replies!! The car I should probably insure, but it's one I'll be restoring/building. My machines, I didn't know...
