fans for a 40x60x12 shop

Fellas,
I'd like to get some air circulation for my new build shop. Should I get industrial ceiling flat mount fans (like in houses) or should I get angle mount fans that mount to the ceiling and come in at an angle? How many and what size would do? I'm just looking to move warm air and to help keep condensation down at the times I need it. I have a large drum floor fan.

Rburke, industrial type ceiling fans, that look like typical house ceiling fans, they just have an industrial motor. I've been doing research and I think I'm just going to go with two wall mounts that have 3 speeds. I'll mount them at opposite ends of the shop near each corner. CFM on high is around 8000 a piece. That aught to be plenty. If i need more circulation I will use my existing ground unit.

I think you will be fine with the two fans, you won't need a wind storm, just air movement. I have yet to wire in a fan....32x56x13..... but I'll get there.

I have 2 of these in a 36x48x14 and they move plenty of air. I mounted them in the peak with 4' downrods.

I have four celing fans in the 40 x 40 shop part of my building and they do just fine. A frined of mind has angled fans in his, which a bigger buiding (maybe his shop part is 50 x 50), and he has them on a thermostat set to go on at 70 degrees He likes them real well.

I suppose I could put mine a thermostat, but I have them variable control. In the area I am working this winter, I turn the two to fairly slow and on the other side of the shop I set them fairly fast to push the hot air down from the roof. I have 15 foot sidewalls and no celing, but an insulated roof. I got my fans and controls through Farm Tek. Had them up a couple of years.

The reverse switch is on the fan behind a cover on the back of the motor.

Thanks Low. Can't see getting out the ladder to reverse the fan. Might need another switch and an extra setoff wires.

how noisy are these home depot industrial fans compared to a direct drive drum fan or a 30" pedestal fan? im leaning towards pedastal fans or wall mount, but i know a couple of them going can make some noise since they are direct drive.

On mine (I have 3 in my shop, see link in my sig below) all you hear is the rush of the air, not the motor itself. Pretty quiet IMO.
