    Questions to ask a builder?

Your quote is $14/sf! You know what they say about a deal that’s too good to be true?

How do you change your oil?

Nothing against vacuuming, but I pull the plug on all my cars, but vacuum out the boat. The only real downside I see to use it on cars is if you have a magnetic drain plug you will not see any interesting bits that may be captured by it. Not a big deal on come cars, but could be on certain...

Opinions on the cheap HF torque wrench?

Actually, critical fasteners these days are torque plus angle. The torque portion is very low, just to make sure the parts are in firm contact. These wrenches are perfectly suitable for that. Stihl 181cbe with16" bar. Great smaller saw for limbing and typical trees around the house.

    Mounting vice to tool chest.

I used a 12"x12"X0.25" thick steel plate sandwiched on the top. It's very rigid. Note that there is a reinforcing rib on the underside that will have to be trimmed away so the bottom plate sits flat. It really doesn't need to be that big, but it works well. Now I'm looking for a 0.25 thick...
