    Dear Milwaukee, I hate you!

The M18 FUEL grinders all have 8500 RPM speed which is slow for a 5" but about the same as most 6" grinder's RPMs. The M28 grinder is 8000 RPM and probably the closest thing to a real cordless grinder before this. We would expect the new brushless motors with 4.0Ar to still have more power and...

    Milwaukee brushless impact specs

This all sounds very familiar... But who wouldn't love Stu he's always got the inside information before anyone else. Nothing but respect from us.

    Dear Milwaukee, I hate you!

I had a chance to use all of these new M18 FUEL tools at the Milwaukee media event and can definitely say they are very impressive. The 1/2" Impact with friction ring has pretty much the same max torque as the W7150 (both claim 1100 nut busting torque) however the Milwaukee also has 2 speeds...

Cordless power tool comparison. Is Dewalt king???

I recently attended both the Dewalt and Milwaukee media events to see the latest 2013 tools and hear their plans for the near future. Both had launched some very nice brushless tools however Milwaukee is probably a good 6-18 months ahead in terms of product launches on brushless technology...

BEST Metal cutting reciprocating saw blades???

Milwaukee vs Lenox at 5 to 128 is ridiculous?? I've used them both and plenty of others and I can promise nothing on the market outlasts any of the major manufacturers by 25 times. At least not within a reasonable price.

BEST Metal cutting reciprocating saw blades???

Milwaukee Torch, they also have Ice Hardened Torch blades for even better performance. Also you might try the new Bosch "EDGE" Heavy Metal blades that are fairly new. But Lenox Gold are definitely the most popular and all really nice blades.

Cutting blind holes in ceramic tile

For strait cuts from the edge any 4" diamond blade on a grinder works perfect and is pretty cheap. For round or inner cuts the rotozip XB-FT1 works great but is pricy. Here is a video our local Bosch rep made. http://www.youtube.com/user/coptool?feature=mhum#p/a/u/0/hf9NbmNxLIc

    Rockwell BladeRunner Reviews & Comments

You have probably seen the infomercial for these thing with 4 easy payments of $39. I had a chance to try it out and was actually really impressed. Wondering if anyone else had any thoughts on them yet? We are giving this unit to a local high school as we thought it would be a nice tool for...

Who makes a good oscillating multitool?

The Bosch MX25EC-21 is really going to be a good option, I used it last month it should compete very well against the Fein Multimaster, better than many of the others. HomeDepot.com does apparently have an exclusive deal on it so that is the only place you will find it. I asked 3 people at the...

    Bosch 18V power tools

Wow there seems to be a lot of Bosch haters in the bunch. I work at a warranty repair center for Bosch (as well as Milwaukee, Makita, Ridgid, 20+ other brands) so we get not only our tools back but everything else from all the big boxes. From what I've seen the new Bosch Lithium 18V tools have...

You can't forget about the M12 Heated Jacket. Batteries should last 4-8 hours depending on the heat setting. Should be out in Sept-Oct time frame and go for about $100. In the pic below the got the temp up to 144 in the jacket when used with a shell.

What do you recommend for a 18v 3/8 " cordless impact wrench?

If cost is a big concern you might also consider the M12 with the 3/8" square drive which is only $179. Not going to take care of your 1/2" stuff but would do a fine job on most 3/8" & all 1/4" with an adaptor. Plus it is tiny. Just a thought...
