The streamlights I had the problem with was the small pen sized flashlight. I've had the thread on battery cap end sieze. ended up breaking the flashlight body. The switches on these lights are just bad. They loose good contact pretty quickly. I just bought a new streamlight stinger.

I pulled the trigger on a stream light stinger led. I will see how it holds up.

I have used the stream light pen size light. Not sure what model number. I have broken the threaded body were the battery cap goes on and the switches on those lights are just ****.

I'm a full time mechanic and have tried mag lights, stream lights and a few other tool truck brands and nothing seems to hold up. What are you using that has worked well for you?

Sorry did not mean to confuse you. I would buy snap on wrenches and ratchets. I would not buy any of there air tools.

1/2 impact gun? Buy an IR231. I've been a mechanic for over 20 years and have bought 2 of these guns in that time. The first one I owned still works fine I just retired it to home use after 12 years of service.

I would start out doing some general car repairs to your vehicles. Make sure you share with your wife how much money your saving and how useful working in the garage can be. This should help lay the the ground work for spending some cash in upgrades! Nice space! and good luck!

He should have a decent start. I have a snap on travel box i no longer use that he can have to store tools in. I don't plan on buying him pro grade tools. SK craftsman will due just fine. Tools with a lifetime warranty.
