    Race Deck Questions

I’ve got 1000 sq ft of FreeFlow in my garage and I love it. I had solid tiles before in CA and they were fine. FreeFlow looks better, it is quiet, and it handles our few snow days a year here in Idaho. A good shop vac every 6 months keeps it clean.

    RACEDECK Floors

I would have started the install along the open front with a full red tile positioned where you want it. Then make your cut along the back wall tiles.

Different flooring options - newbie questions!

They will buckle in direct sun, but having a proper 3/8” expansion on all sides will minimize this. I’ve had 4 garages with RaceDeck tiles and I highly recommend them. I have FreeFlow open tiles now and zero issues with sun expansion.

    Epoxy and flakes outside?

It’s not epoxy, but a Polyurea coating. Epoxy would yellow with the UV outside. We just had our patio and front porch done last week. Full 100% flake and the contractor offered about 50 flake combinations or a custom mix. Sealed with a top coat with a gator grip additive for slip resistance.

    Coating for outdoor patio?

Well we had the patio and front porch coated on Monday. I’m extremely happy with the quality of the work and the results. Job was finished in one long day, and they did a very thorough diamond grinding of all areas.

    Coating for outdoor patio?

I'll let you know how it turns out. I just met with the contractor and was very impressed with the quality of their work. I'll be doing a 500 sq. ft. back patio and another 100 sq. ft. front porch area. About 50 different flake designs to choose from, or you can do a custom mix. It worked...

    Coating for outdoor patio?

Looking for feedback on the use of a 100% Polyurea coating with a Polyurea basecoat and chip, and topcoat for a 500 sq ft covered outdoor patio. I’m getting a quote from DaVinci Coatings tomorrow. They use only Penntek Industrial Coatings and offer a lifetime warranty. Local reviews look...

Has anyone regretted getting Racedeck Freeflow and wished they went with solid tiles?

It will fix your issue. I previously had a garage of full solid tiles and had the same issue at the garage opening in direct sun. Now I have a full floor of FreeFlow and zero issues with any buckling from sun.

Need some help with race deck install (odd 3 car garage)

My 1000 sq ft 3 car is offset as well. It’s a 2’ offset with the single door being 2‘ deeper. I simply started my layout along the wider 2 car door and it all worked out fine. Both transition edges are right under the door seals. Get it as close as possible and you only make cuts along the...

Flow through tiles for very dirty garage?

Three Idaho winters with my FreeFlow floor, and I’ll admit I rarely clean it. A quick shop vac every few months and it’s as good as new. Garage sees lots of car and bike work and messes clean up easily.

    RaceDeck FreeFlow question

Not sure about tire flat spots. I park my Porsche for a good chunk of the winter months, but it still gets out every month when the roads are clear. Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season PS4 tires are a godsend for cold climates. Safe to drive in cold temps, but not scary like summer tires, and...

    Flooring for bike room

My entire garage is a “bike room” and RaceDeck works perfectly for me.

    Racedeck it is!!

It drains through the open tiles and flows to the outside with the slope of the floor. Working perfectly through snowy Idaho winters for me. Much better than having a slippery skating rink with an epoxy floor.
