    Liftmaster 98022 additional wall control?

From the opener, I ran a dedicated wire to the smart wall controller. Then, ran another wire from the opener to doorbell button number 1. Then from there, ran another wire to doorbell button number 2. Joined the 2 sets of wires together and connected to the opener. This made it work and didn't...

    Liftmaster 98022 additional wall control?

The 883 wall button is still a smart controller, which will cause conflicting operational issues with the main wall controller. In my previous post, I mentioned using a basic "dummy" doorbell push button. I've been using 2 basic doorbell style buttons in conjunction with the smart wall...

    Liftmaster 98022 additional wall control?

When adding additional wall controllers (only use basic push button doorbell type) the wiring can be tied together at the opener or at the wall controller. The smart controller supplied with the opener must still be connected to the wiring to retain the light functions and the ability to use the...

Unusual Jackshaft Opener Install Help/Ideas Requested

OP, I did exactly what you are thinking of doing for a buddy of mine a few years ago. Cut a portion of the torsion tube to make the installation of the opener easier. Here's a couple of pictures of the install and the finished job, with the removeable access panel in place.

    Tile vs tile flooring....?

As an ex tile contractor myself I respect your opinion duneslider, however I disagree with you. A properly installed tile floor can withstand pretty much anything you can throw at it in a working garage setting. One member here I recall dropped a transmission on his tiled floor, leaving no...

Epoxy'd my garage 5 years ago: now Klinker Tiling it. Advice for first time DIY?

Since you're planning to use a small format tile, there's really no concern of needing the floor perfectly flat. Any irregularity (low or high spots) can easily be hidden with the 4"x8" tiles. My only concern is getting proper adhesion so that the thinset will stick to the existing epoxy. I...

    Another Porcelain Tile Project

It's close to what I'm suggesting. I would show you on an image, but I'm currently at work and do not have the ability to do so. So basically the additional control joint that you've added in the image, move it more to the left so it's placed in the center of slab. This would place the...

    Another Porcelain Tile Project

I just came across this thread... OP, prior to laying the SLC, did you happen to take a look in the control joints to see if cracking in the slab did actually occur? At the very least I would recommend using a liquid crack-isolation membrane and a crack prevention thinset like FlexBond. As...
